The Green Snake Scarf
This is a quick and easy scarf to make. Of course, it doesn't have to be that color or length. Give it a whirl and see what you think. Equipment:
US 15 Needles
US 9 Needles
Tapestry Needle
Scissors
Worsted Weight Color of your Choice
Measurements:
Approximately 6” X 70”
Length of Time to Create:
Approximately 9 Hours
Pattern:
Cast on any number of stitches (measure about 6").
Cast on any number of stitches (measure about 6").
Step 1: For 10” knit straight (garter stitch) using the US 15 needles.
Step 2: For the next 5” knit straight (garter stitch) using the US 9 needles.
Step 3: Copy Step 1
Step 4: For the next 5” do the stockinette stitch (knit one row, purl the next row, and continue going back and forth) with the US 15 needles.
Step 5: Copy Step 1
Step 6: Copy Step 4
Step 7: Copy Step 1
Step 8: Copy Step 2
Step 9: Copy Step 1
Cast off and weave in the ends. The total should be approximately 70”.
If you want, you can block the stockinette sections; I didn’t in this example.
